Still in Salem

As you all have noticed, I have been very lax in keeping this blog up-to-date. Sorry about that, but if you have been watching this site, you may have noticed on the left side of the page all the “Twitter” updates. I really have been doing more Tweets lately than anything else. Also, I have been posting a lot of updates (and some photos) on my Face Book site. If you are interested, you can look me up on Face Book and send me a friend request to follow me. As for Twitter, my tweeting name is Cachinbird, but to find and follow me, you have to look for Snobird. On Twitter, you don’t need to send me a request to follow (that site is pretty open). I can block people, but so far have not had to.

Anyhow, we are home and have been here since June 2. We really haven’t accomplished much other than getting the house back in order and getting some work done on the coach. We did attend two graduation parties and go out to dinner a few times with friends and family. Yes, we have geocached a bit and even gone to one of the local geocache clubs meeting/event. We even have one more geocaching event to go to this Saturday.

Our niece Kellie
and nephew Brendangraduated from high school earlier this month, and we were very fortunate to be in town to attend their grad parties. These two wonderful kids have grown up so fast. It seems just like yesterday that we were oohing and aahing over them as babies. They have made their parents, Don & Carol, and Jim and Michelle, and all the family very proud.

Our youngest great grand-daughter (Mila) turned one today. Jess and Luis had a birthday party for her on the 20th with both sides of the family attending. The house was overflowing with food and people. All the kids were having a lot of fun while the adults ate and visited. Little Mila didn’t know what to make of it all, but she enjoyed the attention (what baby doesn’t?).

Sunday was Father’s Day, and we celebrated with our family by going out for breakfast. It was a huge gathering and we all had a great time. Sorry, I forgot the camera and didn't think about using the camera on the phone. Oh well, we hope all the fathers, and grandfathers viewing this blog all had a marvelous day. I know the men in my family did (grin).
